Answer
Sophos Antivirus (SAV) works with WinRoute Firewall on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003.
To install:
- Download the trial version of SAV,
or use your properly-licensed paid version.
- Install SAV. Refer to the
SAV Evaluation Guide
if you have any questions about installing the trial version.
- Go to the Start menu. Select Programs->Sophos Anti-Virus->Sophos Anti-Virus.
- Sophos Anti-Virus will appear. In the "Options" menu, choose "Exlusion List..."
- Click "Add."
- Click "Browse," then navigate to and select the Kerio WinRoute Firewall directory (Typically
C:\Program Files\Kerio\WinRoute Firewall). Click OK.
- Click OK in all the dialog boxes and then close Sophos Anti-Virus.
- Open the Kerio Administration Console and connect to Kerio WinRoute Firewall.
- Go to Configuration->Content Filtering->Antivirus. Select the "Antivirus" tab.
- Click on "Select antivirus..." (near the top).
- Choose "Sophos Antivirus (SAVI 2.0)"
- Click "Check & OK." After a second, you should get a message saying "Antivirus started."
- Click "Test antivirus." You should get a message saying "Antivirus is working properly. Antivirus test successful."
Sophos Antivirus should now be working properly and scanning your firewall traffic!
