Answer
Sophos Antivirus (SAV) for Windows works with Kerio Connect on:
- Windows 2000
- Windows XP
- Windows 2003
To install:
- Download the trial version of SAV,
or use your properly-licensed paid version.
- Install SAV. Refer to the
SAV Evaluation Guide
if you have any questions about installing the trial version.
- Go to the Start menu. Select Programs->Sophos Anti-Virus->Sophos Anti-Virus.
- Sophos Anti-Virus will appear. In the "Options" menu, choose "Exlusion List..."
- Click "Add."
- Click "Browse," then navigate to and navigate to the location of the Store, Archive and Backup folders for Kerio Connect.
Default location:
Windows - C:\\Program Files\\Kerio\\MailServer\\store
- Click "OK."
- Click "OK" in all the dialog boxes and then close Sophos Anti-Virus.
- Open the Kerio Administration Console and connect to Kerio Connect.
- Go to Configuration->Antivirus.
- Click on "Select antivirus..." (near the top).
- Choose "Sophos Antivirus (SAVI 2.0)"
- Click "Check & OK." After a second, you should see a message that reads "Antivirus started."
Sophos Antivirus should now be working properly and scanning your incoming and outgoing email!
